- Leaving Certificate standard or equivalent. However, applications will also be considered from people without these qualifications.
- Students are required to complete Work Experience 50 hours per term, which they must arrange themselves. Ideally, Work Experience should be a minimum of one day per week for the duration of the course (September / May).
- Students must undergo Garda Vetting either through the College or directly through their work experience placement. Alternatively already have acquired Garda Vetting through their current place of related employment.

Fees, once paid are strictly NON-REFUNDABLE, unless a class is not formed in which case

Certification:
QQI Level 5 Modular Certification on successful completion of Year 1. Full QQI Level 5 Health Care Support Award on successful completion of Year 2. Students who successfully complete Year 1 2017/2018 are automatically accepted onto year 2.
Applicants will be invited to attend an Induction Meeting with the course tutor prior to enrolment. This meeting will take place on Monday 11th or Tuesday 12th between 6.00p.m. and 8.00p.m.
