Course Content Aims
This course will be of benefit to those interested in further study of animation at 3rd level. This can include beginners, secondary school students wishing to apply for Art College in the future, mature students or students who already have some knowledge of animation but wish to extend their understanding of the subject.

• Life Drawing working from a life model
• Flip Book Principles
• Zoetropes and Phenakistascopes
• Scriptwriting and Storyboarding
• Character Design
• Introduction to Basic Computer Animation
• Introduction to Basic Stop Motion Animation
Assessment Method Continuous evaluation will take place during the programme with final evaluation on completion of the programme.
