Hide-This QQI Level 5 Workplace Statutory Policies & Procedures course will provide the student the knowledge, skill and competence to interpret legislation and legal principles relevant to an occupational sector and to apply procedures to ensure their implementation in the workplace.
Learners who successfully complete this course will:
•develop a general understanding of the Irish legal system
•evaluate the impact of the law on their personal and vocational lives
•develop skills in evaluation and analysis
•be familiar with the language, procedures and documents related the law, equality, safety and quality in their vocational area.
This distance learning, QQI accredited course means that Students can study flexibly at home, or at any convenient place and time, and can gain an Internationally Recognised Qualification.
Students receive a comprehensive Course Manual, Assignments, Efficient Studyguide and unlimited one-to-one Tutor Support for the course duration. The specific learning outcomes are grouped into Five Units.

The internal assessor will devise two briefs that require candidates to produce evidence that demonstrates an understanding and application of a range of specific learning outcomes.
Each brief will require candidates to investigate topic(s) appropriate to the unit and in the context of the candidates’ vocational area.
Examination:
*Students taking this module will have to sit an examination (€50.00) that is normally held in Dublin but arrangements can be made in outside centres around the country. This can be paid before exam dates and is not required upon enrolment. This exam fee is not covered in the course fee/registration fee. The examination will be based on a range of specific learning outcomes and will be 2 hours in duration.

Pass 50 – 64%
Merit 65 – 79%
Distinction 80 – 100%
