By the end of the year, students will be equipped with key Auctioneering and Estate Agency skills, as well as an understanding of a comprehensive range of modern business functions such as IT, Economics and Law. As part of the course, students are required to gain practical experience by working for two weeks in a property related environment.

Costs are kept to the minimum. For 2017/18 the standard charge is €240 plus a Government charge of €200, introduced by DES in 2011. Current Medical Card holders and their dependents; those approved for a student grant and those approved for BTEA and VTOS are exempt from paying the €200 Government levy.
The €240 charge covers a number of costs including certification and exam entry.

| Entry Requirements |
In general you need to have a minimum of 5 passes at ordinary level in the Leaving Certificate or its equivalent. Applications are welcome from students with Leaving Certificate Vocational, Leaving Certificate Applied or FETAC Level 4 qualifications.
Exceptions can be made where special circumstances apply. The Leaving Certificate is not a requirement for mature students and appropriate experience can be considered as being equivalent to the Leaving Certificate. |
