Course Content Description
This course is designed to prepare you for a career in Architectural practice through gaining cutting edge design skills and knowledge necessary for the construction industry. It will provide you with specific practical and professional skills, analysis, organisation, design, teamwork and communication. The course aims to leave you equally prepared to progress to complete your Honours Degree, to directly enter employment as a highly skilled employee, or to start your own business.

Assessment Method Assessment will be carried out by a variety of methods. These will include the use of coursework assignments and end of module examinations as well as group activities and professional presentations. You will also be assessed in the workplace as part of your six month industrial placement.
Careers or Further Progression Progression Opportunities
On successful completion of the Foundation Degree you may progress to Year 2 of the Honours Degree in Architectural Technology and Management at Ulster University with exemption from the placement year. You can, therefore, complete an honours degree within the same length of time as a Learner who enrols directly to university at the beginning of Year 1. You may also transfer to other universities to complete your degree or undertake employment in a design practice.
