Course Content Description
This course is designed around the computing requirements of local industry. Students will gain the knowledge, understanding and design skills to formulate solutions to computing problems and the practical skills to implement those solutions. Additionally, ‘soft’ skills will be developed in teamwork, communications, professional practice and time management.
Subjects Taught Course Content
Computer Technologies; Computing Mathematics; Programming in C#; Programming Mobile Applications for Android; Database; Systems Analysis and Design; Professional Development; Web Application Development; Network Databases; Computer Networks; Server Management; and Work-based Learning. The Work-based learning takes place in second year when learners complete an industrial placement of 400 hours.
Assessment Method Assessment is by the use of coursework assignments and end of module examinations throughout the duration of the course.
