Hide-The Drama course is designed for students who have already developed core performance skills. Classes and performances are centred in the college’s unique Amphitheatre, and well equipped studio. The teaching practise in Kinsale is underpinned by belief in an ensemble approach to theatre and classes are taught through practical workshop. Students also work independently, both on their own and on group projects, and are encouraged to create their own work and to gain self-confidence in autonomous learning and development. Emphasis is placed on devising original work through improvisation, as well as the study and performance of existing play texts, both as actor and director. Course content includes Industry preparation and acting for camera. The course aims to enable each student to discover their own creative voice and to feel empowered to follow a career in the entertainment industry with confidence.
