Course Content Overview
The course is designed for students who are interested in a career in planning, property or housing management areas of study who require a foundation degree to enhance employment prospects. It is particularly suitable for students who do not meet the universities entry requirements or want a change in career. This programme of study is likely to include enrichment units which are an additional component to enhance your employability.
Subjects Taught Year one modules include:
Planning Policy and Practice; Introduction to Housing Studies; Building Technology; ICT; Principles of Property Valuation; Design Principles; Development Process.

Year two modules include:
Work Placement Economics; Law; Sustainable Development; Project.
Careers or Further Progression Opportunities and Progression
Progression is by articulation to the second year of one of the following programmes at Ulster University: BSc Hons Real Estate or MSci Planning and Property Development. Alternatively, you may wish to undertake further study for a degree in another construction related discipline or go into employment in the property or construction industry. (Please consult university admissions for entry to course outside natural progression routes named above).
