Course Content Overview
This two-year, full-time course provides an excellent foundation for a range of careers in biological/biomedical sciences. It is broadly equivalent to the first year of degree-level study in biological sciences and is a well-balanced mix of theory and practical laboratory sessions. This programme of study is likely to include enrichment units which are an additional component to enhance your employability. A minimum attendance of 80% is expected on all aspects of the course.
Subjects Taught You will study a range of core and specialist units including Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Laboratory Techniques, Analysis of Scientific Data, Medical Microbiology and a Research Project.
Assessment Method Assessment of all units will be via project-based learning and written assignment work and students will be expected to complete extensive independent study.
