Work Experience
Courses are designed to meet current employment market needs by providing job oriented training and education. Coláiste Mhuire Co-Ed has built extensive links with many businesses in the locality and further afield, through their work experience programme. Students complete a block release period of work experience during the year. Many students are employed locally as a result of their work experience.

There are no formal tuition fees for Irish and EU Nationals who are full time students on our courses. Courses are funded by the European Social Fund.
An administration fee is required to cover student services. Students will be required to pay examination fees. |
| Financial Support |
Students attending our full-time PLC courses are eligible to apply for government grants. Grants range depending on individual circumstances.

This Level 6 course will be an advanced course to suit participants with previous childcare training who wish to develop a career in childcare at the supervisory management level. On the successful completion of the award the student will have acquired the knowledge, skills and competence to work in an early childhood education and care setting. Skills acquired will provide the successful student with the ability to lead and coordinate a team in the provision of an early childhood care and education. This award will provide students with opportunities to transfer and progress to programmes leading to higher education and training awards at level 7 and level 8. Possible career pathways following successful completion of this course:
Childcare practitioner in early years setting with possible progression to supervisory role.
Childcare Practitioner in community based projects.
