When a student successfully completes a Post Graduate Diploma in Nursing (Specialist Area) they may then avail of the option to progress to Year II of the Masters in Science (MSc) Nursing in this specialist area. |

General Entry Requirements
The applicant must be a registered nurse on the active register maintained by Nursing & Midwifery Board of Ireland prior to commencing one of the programmes.
Computer skills and access to a computer and the Internet are essential.
The applicant is required to have a minimum of six months clinical experience appropriate to the specialist area of practice of the programme.
The applicant is required to work in the specialist area of practice for the duration of the programme.
The applicant must provide evidence of prior learning.
The applicant is required to hold a primary degree or equivalent, with relevant experience and previous studies (each application will be considered on an individual basis).
An interview may be required for some programmes.

Clinical Mentorship
Students are supported through the programme by preceptors and clinical facilitators, who facilitate student learning and competency development, in the specialist area of the programme.
