We have designed this course primarily for those who have a previous qualification in Accounting, such as the Higher Certificate in Business in Accounting. This one year add-on course leads to the award of an ordinary degree in Business/Accounting. The majority of our students progress to an honours degree such as the Bachelor of Business (Hons) taking the accounting and finance stream at IT Sligo. You then have the option to study for professional accounting examinations with one of the professional bodies, such as the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, the Institute of Certified Public Accountants in Ireland and the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland.
