Hide-Course Description
This programme is a conversion programme targeting Level 8 graduates from non-computing disciplines and giving them a general foundation in Software Development with a particular emphasis on Web Development, User Experience (UX) and Software Testing, which allows graduates to build on their life and work experience. This two-year version of the course allows for a deeper immersion into software development.
Who Should Apply?
This programme is a reskilling programme specifically designed for graduates with an Honours Degree (or equivalent) in a non-computing discipline and addresses the existing skills shortage for high-level graduates in the core computing area.
The programme provides them with the knowledge and expertise for a career in:
»» Quality Assurance and Software Testing
»» Software Project Management
The programme doesn’t attempt to convert graduates from noncomputing disciplines within two years to software developers, although some of our graduates have succeeded in this. Instead it focuses on those computing areas that benefit from transferable experiences and are traditionally difficult to fill with graduates that came directly from school.
