Programme Outline
This Programme is devised to meet the personal and professional needs of personnel involved in Education, Training, Youthwork Management, Policy and Programme Development, Research and would be of particular interest to Teachers, Youth Workers, Health Service Executive personnel, Community Workers, Social Workers and those working in Government Agencies who are involved with families and young people.
Participants are challenged to critically reflect on practice and to consider how best to provide opportunities and learning experiences that empower individuals and families to become change agents for the betterment of themselves and their community.

Students successfully completing 45 ECTS of modules in Year 1 of the programme continue to Year 2 where they undertake the Advanced Research Module and the Dissertation Module and exit with an Master of Arts (Education Studies).

Students successfully completing 45 ECTS of modules in Year 1 of the programme continue to Year 2 where they undertake the Advanced Research Module and the Dissertation Module and exit with an Master of Arts (Education Studies).
Alternatively, students may exit with a Postgraduate Certificate on successfully completing 30 ECTS (2 modules) or with a Postgraduate Diploma on successfully completing 60 ECTS (4 modules).
Students may also study standalone modules and exit with 15 ECTS (NFQ, Level 9) upon successful completion of a module.
Year 1 modules may be offered annually or every two years while Year 2 will be offered annually. Participants may commence the programme at any stage.
