First Year
You will be introduced to a wide spectrum of philosophical approaches, from ancient thought through to existentialism and conceptual analysis.

Second Year

Assessment Method Assessment is through a combination of end-of-semester written examinations, class tests and continuous assessment.
Comment Students attend lectures and tutorials and undertake independent study. They are also encouraged to attend public lectures by eminent philosophers and other formal and informal academic events organised by the School of Philosophy.

You study Philosophy as a two-subject degree. [Go to Page 35 of the UG prospectus 2017 for subjects you can combine with Philosophy.] At the end of first year, you may be able to transfer to a single subject degree in Philosophy.
