Entry Requirements Applicants for the course are required to hold a university
degree in non-computing disciplines. Applicants with some
computing background are advised to apply for the Higher
Diploma in Science MHG58. For international students whose
first language is not English, an English language exam
certificate showing IELTS 6.5 (or equivalent) is required.
Course Content This is a postgraduate conversion course intended for graduates whose primary degrees are not in computing and information technology.
Subjects Taught Course Structure
Modules include introduction to computer systems, software testing, multimedia technology, software engineering, web information processing, databases and operating systems.

Information technology and software development is one of Ireland’s foremost export sectors driving the smart economy. The course is ideal for graduates without computing experience to develop a career in the information technology sector.
