Our highly experience tutors can help develop your creative side in a fun and stimulating atmosphere using the latest equipment and software packages. These skills make our students very successful in their direct employment in the Media industry.
Whilst pursuing your academic awards to QQI Advanced Level 6 and BTEC Higher National Diploma you will also have the opportunity to showcase and publish your work in our Graduate Exhibitions and our Annual Print Productions.

Video Modern well-equipped video production studio including full range of Avid nonlinear editing suites, digital cameras, vision mixing and character generation facilities.
Photography
Complete Dark Room facilities for film processing with photographic studio supported by scanning and Imaging workstations.
Digital Imaging & Design
Industry standard computer hardware and software applications used in the areas of Image Manipulation, Print and Graphic Design.
Resource Room/Library
A media library, housing extensive relevant books, newspapers, journals and magazines is available in the college. We also provide the services of the Tiernan McBride library in the Irish Film Institute to all our media students.

There are no tuition fees, however there are costs attached, for example registration fees, examination fees and a student services charge.
Please note: A government levy of €200 must be paid upon registration. |

Hide-The wide variety of production skills in video, print and design, and the technical skills gained on the course make our graduates very successful in their direct employment in the media industry.
After two years in St. Kevin’s College students are fully prepared to enter the media industry directly in areas such as Scriptwriting, Film Directing, Producing, Editing, Cinematography, Documentary Making, Journalism, Graphic Design and Education.
Our students can also progress to degree courses in Ireland, UK and Europe to continue their education. Entry into final year of three year degree programmes in a number of universities is possible, both in Ireland and the UK. Universities have expressed keen interest in the caliber of student graduating with this award.
The course, through the QQI links, scheme allows students to earn up to a maximum of 400 points, to which they can add a possible 600 points with the portfolio prepared in the college.
