It enables you to work as a Special Needs Assistant If you wish to work with children, this is the minimum requirement necessary to work in creches, pre-schools or after-schools. It is a stand-alone-qualification for employment in any early years setting, national school or secondary school .

Entry Requirements What do I need to apply to CCFE?

• You have at least five passes at ordinary level in the Leaving Cert or equivalent.
• You have passed the Leaving Cert Applied, Leaving Cert Vocational Programme.
• You have FETAC Level 4 qualifications.
• You are a mature student then your life experience may be sufficient.

All students will be required to successfully complete Garda Vetting
Assessment Method All modules are based on continuous assessment including assignments, projects and examination work. Students will be required to complete four weeks work experience in two week blocks.
