Hide-This one year full-time course is designed to enhance the candidates awareness and understanding of the role and the responsibilities of the professional nurse. It is also a foundation course for those who wish to pursue a nursing career.

This course introduces students to the theories and practices of nursing. The course provides students with a working knowledge of hospitals and nursing homes. It also helps candidates gain an understanding of the fundamentals of nursing.

Candidates gain first hand experience by attending work placements for one day each week.

Expand+Course fees range from €300 to €400 depending on the course. The fees cover costs of examination entry and certification fees as well as any course materials and personal equipment to students. The fees also cover a range of other services and acti...

Hide-Course fees range from €300 to €400 depending on the course. The fees cover costs of examination entry and certification fees as well as any course materials and personal equipment to students. The fees also cover a range of other services and activities provided for, or engaged in, by the students such as some trips, cultural and sporting events, accident insurance policy fee and student services fund fee. in addition to this, the Government levy of €200 will also apply for those applicants who do not hold a medical care.

Enrolment Deposit
Students who accept the offer of a place on a course must pay a non-refundable deposit of €50. The balance of the fee must be paid on commencement of each academic year.

External Examination Fees
Students who choose to enter for examinations other than those set by QQI and/or BTEC must pay the appropriate exam fees to the relevant examining authority.
