To enable participants to design, develop and test software components and systems in a workplace environment. While many students will successfully progress to 3rd level education, this course offers skills which Irish workers depend on every day. Computes are an enabling technology for business management, facilitating managers in their daily acquisition of knowledge to assist in decision making, and in finding creative solutions to unexpected challenges. We facilitate the learner in achieving self reliance and independence of thought when using these tools. This course is very much geared towards the student who has a keen interest in computing, but also seeks the computer-based skills essential to function effectively in a changing office environment.

However, there are student services charges, exam fees and a separate Government Levy. This tax (officially called a Participant Contribution) was introduced in the 2010 Budget and applies to all PLC courses in all colleges.

Non-EU nationals who do not meet exemption requirements are liable for full tuition fees of €3,653 plus the fees as outlined below. The tuition fees are non-refundable. See the section on international students.

A new ONLINE ONLY grant applications system was introduced in 2012. All new applications must be made online to the single awarding authority, Student Universal Support Ireland (SUSI).

When can I make my grant application?
You should apply for it as soon as possible. Remember, you do not have to wait until you receive an offer of a place. Only when your application has been completed in full and submitted to the SUSI can your eligibility be determined.

How do I register to make an application?
Go to the following websites www.studentfinance.ie or www.grantsonline.ie
To make an application all you have to do is click on the SUSI icon on the student grant page and register your personal details. You will need your PPS number and an e-mail address. This e-mail address can only be used for one registration/application as it will be a contact reference for interaction with SUSI. You will be asked to input a password, again select one that you can remember as you will be unable to access your online application without it.
