Work Experience (25 days) is a mandatory part of this programme.
Work placement must be in a healthcare setting eg Hospitals/Nursing Homes/
Day Care/Special Needs Centres
Entry Requirements Leaving Certificate or equivalent, prior experience or a keen interest in the area.

The Garda vetting process must be completed in respect of all individuals working with children or vulnerable adults - work placements will require students be vaccinated against Hepatitis 8 virus.
Careers or Further Progression FURTHER STUDY
Candidates can use this qualification to progress, through the Higher Links Scheme, to
further studies in Third Level Institutions.
