Course Fee Fees
Student Services €295- This consists of a student services fee of €160 and a non-refundable deposit of €35, First Aid €100, Department of Education and Skills Contribution fee of €200 payable on registration (unless medical card holder), QQI Exam Fees €50 ( unless holder of medical card).
Financial Support The range of financial support available to students intending to attend Further Education includes: Maintenance Grant Scheme, Special Rates of Maintenance Grants, and Fund for Students with
Disabilites.

VTOS - Vocational Training Opportunities Scheme
To be eligible you must be over 21 years, and 6 months in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment. This grant may include the cost of some books, lunch and travel expenses.
Interview 1st round of interviews for all courses is in May 2017. Final round is at the end of August for remaining places.

Entry Requirements Entry requirements include Leaving Certificate or equivalent, or appropriate experience in the workplace. The Garda vetting process must be completed prior to commencement in respect of all working in the childcare area.
Careers or Further Progression Further Study
Graduates from the course may progress to study Early Childcare and Education Level 6 which is a supervisory level course, or to third level. LIT (Thurles) Early Childhood Care and Education - Bachelor of Arts.
