This Level 5 Computer Programming course gives students an excellent grounding in computer programming C++ and Java. Students develop practical skills and can progress to our QQI Level 6 Advanced Certificate in Software Development. This level 6 course has an advanced second year entry link with Dublin Institute of Technology, Institute of Technology Blanchardstown, NCI, IT Tallaght and Griffith College. The Certificate in Computer Programming course also enables students to apply through the CAO directly to third level. This course has a high success rate in terms of students securing places in DIT, ITT, NCI, ITB, Maynooth University, UCD and IADT.

In the December 2010 budget the Government imposed a charge of €200 on all students enrolling on Post Leaving Certificate Courses . This fee will have to be collected by the college and passed to the state. The charge of €200 is in addition to our course charges which remain unchanged.
• Full payment of fees is a requirement when a course offer is accepted and prior to registration and commencement of courses in early September (payment dates for confirmed offers are June and July and for provisional offers are August.
• Due to pressure of places we cannot reserve places for reasons of non-payment of fees.
• There is no deposit required.

Student Maintenance Grants
Many further education students are eligible for a means-tested grant. Students should apply through www.susi.ie. Apply for the grant early to ensure it is in place throughout your course of study. |

All applicants are invited to interview by a member of the course staff. Interviews take place from February to June and from mid– August. |

Leaving Certificate standard of education, Mathematics at ordinary level is desirable.
Mature Applicants welcome.
All applicants whose first language is not English will be tested at entry.

This Level 6 course has advanced entry links with DIT, IT Blanchardstown, NCI, IT Tallaght and Griffith College. Level 5 students may apply successfully through the CAO to third level colleges.
