This course has a good history of graduates gaining employment in general medical and dental practices. Work Placement
Students will spend at least two weeks in a medical/health service environment in order to gain practical first-hand experience.
Entry Requirements Leaving Certificate or equivalent. For mature applicants, practical experience will be considered in lieu of formal qualifications. All applicants whose first language is not English will be required to take an English test before being accepted for the course.

Further Education and Training Awards Council (FETAC) awarded by QQI.
Careers or Further Progression Future Prospects
On completion of the course students have excellent prospects for employment both in the public and private areas of the health service sector, students who have attained their full QQI Level 5 award may have an opportunity to progress to the Advanced Certificate in Administration (Level 6) at Marino College. In addition, students who are interested in further study can apply through the QQI link scheme to progress to Higher Education in a third level college.
