The programme is particularly suited to people with a keen interest in subject areas such as history, archaeology and folklore. If you have ambitions to pursue an Arts/Humanities/Law degree/Social Science-this is the course for you!
How will I learn?
The Cultural and Heritage Studies programme offers students a wonderful blend of exciting subjects along with an excellent range of organised cultural trips and a work experience placement.
Throughout the year, students will participate in a broad range of interesting projects, field trips, cultural visits and guided tours e.g. Dublin Castle, National Museum, Kilmainham Gaol, Newgrange, Titanic (Belfast), St Patrick’s Cathedral, Glasnevin Cemetery, etc.
You will be required to complete assignments throughout the year.
How will I be assessed?
A full Award is granted on passing the relevant eight components. You will be assessed throughout and at the end of the year. On successful completion of each component, you will be awarded a Pass, a Merit or a Distinction grade.
You will be responsible for securing an appropriate off site work placement before the programme commences.
