Hide-Designed for middle managers looking to develop their personal skills and managerial competencies, this one-year, level-7 programme uses individual exercises, group discussions, formal presentations and more to help learners make measurable progress in the areas of communication, teamwork, influencing, strategic thinking and planning and organising.
Participants learn to:
Appraise current economic, social and administrative frameworks in healthcare and personal services
Integrate a broad perspective of the management issues, problems and strategies in health services in Ireland and internationally
Apply enhanced skills in managing people, resources, projects and information technology, as well as acquired research and communications techniques
Exercise appropriate managerial judgement in the planning, design and delivery of healthcare and personal social services
Conduct independent research involving the analysis of management practice within health services
How it works
Meeting one day every other week for two semesters, learners engage in interactive workshops which are augmented and supported by self-directed and personal study hours.
