Successful students will receive a QQI Level 5 certificate in Multimedia Production (5M2146). The course takes the format of continuous assessment based on assignments and project work.
Work Experience:
Students will spend two weeks working in industry in the digital creative media area. The work placement is a planned experiential learning activity involving learners preparing and planning for work, working under direction in a specific vocational area and reviewing and evaluating that work.

Mature students are very welcome on all courses in O'Fiaich Institute of further Education and the number of mature students is rising steadily. Some mature students are eligible for VTOS scheme (Vocational Training Opportunities Scheme). |

This course is aimed at students who have completed the Leaving Certificate, Leaving Certificate Applied, Leaving Certificate Vocational and mature students with an interest in IT, with suitable candidates being selected by interview. |

Career Opportunities & Progression Routes Learners will be ready to take up employment in several multimedia related industries such as web design, graphic design, advertising, animation creation, digital image processing/editing, sound editing and project management. Successful students can progress to Level 6 Multimedia and Web Development or to Third Level through the CAO system. |
