Hide-This course was developed in response to demand for the integration of literacy with training programmes. In some cases individuals on training programmes may not always have the required literacy level to achieve successful completion of the training. Some training programmes have sought to address this issue by providing separate tuition to enable the individual to improve literacy skills. However, it is proposed here that alongside separate literacy tuition, literacy skills should be integrated with the training. This integrated approach proves rewarding and provides added value for both the individual trainee and the trainers. To be effective however, the trainers need to develop specific skills. This course offers participants an opportunity to develop skills in order to integrate literacy training into course delivery.
