NUI Certificate in Communication & Group Skills for Managers will assist individuals to develop effective leadership, facilitation and communication skills in a work-based environment. It is suitable for individuals with no management/supervisory experience who wish to further their career. It is also appropriate for those individuals who wish to develop their existing skills.

The course is comprised of 4 modules aimed at assisting individuals to develop effective leadership, facilitation and communication skills in a work-based environment. It is suitable for individuals with no management/supervisory experience as well as managers who wish to develop their existing skills and knowledge. |

Expand+Module 1 will introduce students to the primary roles of the manager. Practical study skills are integrated into this module to equip to students to successfully complete the programme.

Hide-Module 1 will introduce students to the primary roles of the manager. Practical study skills are integrated into this module to equip to students to successfully complete the programme.
Module 2 will look at managing individuals and covers topics such as employee relations, supervision, performance management and motivating people.
In module 3 the focus turns to groups and examines the dynamics that make for successful teamwork and how groups contribute to organisational effectiveness.
Module 4 addresses managing the organisation. This involves managing change, developing culture within organisations and the development of and implementation of strategy.

Hide-The NUI Certificate in Communication and Group Skills for Managers is a standalone qualification however when combined with the NUI Certificate in Training and Continuing Education (Train the Trainer Level 7) plus the Certificate Equality Studies (On Line) it forms part of the Diploma in Arts: Training and Development for Socially Inclusive Workplaces. This suite of CPD courses provide a comprehensive educational/training package in core skills such as managing issues of equality and diversity in the workplace for Team Leaders, Managers and Learning and Development Specialists.
As with all of our level 7 and 8 certificate and diploma courses credits gained upon completion can be used for Recognition of Prior Learning to go towards the Degree in Local Studies/Community Studies.
