This one year course provides students with a very solid foundation in animal care and grooming. On course completion students are also eligible to apply for a range of 3rd Level Veterinary Nursing courses. |

All applications will be acknowledged by post or email. Applications will be accepted from January 2017 for the first round of interviews each, usually held in May. All applicants will be invited to an interview to ascertain their suitability for the course. Further applications are accepted over the summer months and similar interviews take place in early September for any remaining vacancies. All applicants will be notified by post as to the results of the interview.

| Entry Requirements |
Applications are invited from school leavers who have completed Leaving Certificate or equivalent. Mature students, with or without formal qualifications, are also welcome to apply. All applicants will be interviewed. |
| Careers or Further Progression |
Students may find employment in the Animal Care, Veterinary Nursing and Grooming Industry. Graduates may apply to join our Level 6 course in Animal Science or apply for entry into related courses in Institutes of Technology and Universities both in Ireland and in the UK for example past students have gone on to study at UCD, DKIT, Athlone IT and Letterkenny IT. |
