Hide-Focused on helping learners develop the skills needed to effectively manage themselves, their work and the people they work with, this one-year certificate programme provides a useful introduction to management in the health services sector for professionals looking to build on their experience and gain a formal management qualification.
Participants learn to:
Appreciate core health service management principles and theories
Apply comprehensive management skills and acquire knowledge to improve individual, team and organisational performance
Leverage interpersonal skills, confidence and techniques to achieve personal goals
How it works
In each class, a tutor leads learners through a skills-based workshop designed to reinforce the learning material studied since the previous class.
Learners complete an assignment for each module and receive detailed written feedback from tutors.
Participants prepare for class in their own time, using assigned guided reading, textbooks and self-assessment questions.
Ongoing coaching, advice and support is provided by MDU for the duration of the programme.
