The role of the Healthcare Assistant is to support the existing staff in a hospital, nursing home or community in the practical care and welfare of patients. Healthcare Assistants are becoming a vital part of the care team in the new structuring of Healthcare Education & Training. This course provides a qualification in care skills which will greatly enhance your chances of gaining employment as a Healthcare Assistant. Holders of this award may also apply for degree courses in Social Science or Social Care in many Universities and Institutes of Technology. This course is delivered by a qualified Nursing Tutor.
