Financial Support FE Student Grants
The Department of Education and Science has introduced a maintenance grant scheme for Further Education students. Application forms are available online at www.susi.ie.
A member of staff is responsible for helping students with their grant enquiries.
Interview 1st Round In March/April, 2nd in Mid-May, Late Applicants in Late August and early September.
Application Date Applications are welcome from 1st December of the year preceding the course start year.

Interviews are then held at regular intervals from the following March onwards. First round of interviews will take place during March/April. Second round interviews will take place in mid-May. Late applications will be interviewed when the Leaving Certificate Examinations are finished or in early September.

Mature Entry Places All mature applicants will be interviewed. VTOS applicants are welcome
Entry Requirements Applications will be accepted from candidates with standard Leaving Certificate (five passes) or equivalent including Leaving Certificate Applied.

Mature students with relevant experience are encouraged to apply.

All applicants must attend for interview and bring 2 recent references.

Garda Clearance will operate for students on any course dealing with children or vulnerable adults.
Careers or Further Progression On the successful completion of the course students may progress to the Healthcare Supervisory Management Level 6 course in Inchicore College or access courses in Institutes of Technology or universities through the Higher Education Links Scheme.

Progression – Employment
Graduates from this course may also gain employment in the healthcare and disability sector working as healthcare assistants in a variety of settings or in disability support.
