Financial Support FE Student Grants
The Department of Education and Science has introduced a maintenance grant scheme for Further Education students. Application forms are available online at www.susi.ie.
A member of staff is responsible for helping students with their grant enquiries.
Interview 1st Round In March/April, 2nd in Mid-May, Late Applicants in Late August and early September.

Application Date Applications are welcome from 1st December of the year preceding the course start year.

Interviews are then held at regular intervals from the following March onwards. First round of interviews will take place during March/April. Second round interviews will take place in mid-May. Late applications will be interviewed when the Leaving Certificate Examinations are finished or in early September.

Mature Entry Places All mature applicants will be interviewed
Entry Requirements Applicants should have a minimum of five subjects at leaving certificate, including a D3 at Higher level English or C3 at Ordinary Level.

Mature students without formal qualifications but who have a proven interest are encouraged to apply also.

All students will be interviewed and will be asked to produce some examples of their written work and ideally, this should include examples of essays, story writing, scripts and journalism.
Careers or Further Progression Graduates of this course have gone on to study a range of subjects including:
English, Literature, Film Studies, Liberal Arts, Theatre Studies, Journalism, Media Production, Creative Writing, Humanities, Music Production and Multimedia.

Graduates have also continued to work independently on self generated writing projects, as well as taking up employment both at home and abroad.
