Hide-About Quality Management
The quality professional is well represented in all sectors of the economy. While manufacturing will use familiar titles such as Quality manager, or quality engineer other sectors may use titles such as transformation manager or change agent, director of quality or even more specific titles like Six-Sigma Black Belt. Quality as a profession is also well supported in the USA by the American Society for Quality [ASQ] and in the UK by The Chartered Quality Institute [CQI].
About this Programme
This course provides an add-on qualification in core quality management skills that are in demand in all sectors of the economy. It is ideal for engineering, science or business graduates who now find their careers or interests becoming more and more involved in quality management matters.
Students completing the L8 BSc (Hons) in Quality Management and Technology degree meet the (theory) requirements of the internationally recognised Six Sigma Black Belt award. Students can receive a Certificate in Advanced Lean Sigma Quality (Black Belt) in addition to their degree from IT Sligo by undertaking a Black Belt project.
