| Entry Requirements |
5 passes at Leaving Certificate on ordinary level papers at Grade D or above (including English and Mathematics or Accountancy) or 4 passes at Leaving Certificate (of which at least two are on higher level papers) at Grade D or above (including English and Mathematics or Accountancy).
Participants over 21 years of age who do not meet the minimum education requirements but have gained suitable accounting work experience may still apply for consideration by the Institute. |

Course Description
This course is an industry-recognised professional qualification that is aimed at helping participants enhance their career prospects.
Prepare financial statements
Prepare financial reports and other management information
Compute tax liabilities for companies and for individuals
Set up and manage systems for budgets, stock control, cost accounting, cash reconciliation
Set up and manage credit control procedures
Use computers effectively in a business environment
Upon completion of this course, students will:
»» Develop skills appropriate for a variety of careers including Accounts Assistant, Audit Assistant, Credit Controller, Payroll Assistant and Stock Controller.
»» Acquire a solid understanding of the principles of financial and management accounting, taxation and business management.
»» Possess practical and management skills necessary for the workplace.
