Applicants will normally hold either:
a) an honours primary degree with Music along with a post-graduate qualification in Education, or
b) an honours primary degree in Education with Music.
Applicants with equivalent, appropriate qualifications along with relevant professional experience may also be considered on a case by case basis.

The MA programme includes a student-directed Practicum module that caters for the professional and artistic interests of course participants.
Part-time Mode (Two Years)
The part-time course requires 6 contact hours per week over two semesters in Year One. Parts of these modules will be delivered online. 3 contact hours per week are required during the first semester of Year Two. A week-long summer course occurs in Year One also. Taught modules will normally be delivered in the evenings. Additional seminars and workshops may be included, as appropriate. Dissertation work will be carried out in Year Two.
Full-time Mode (One Year)
Delivery will be the same as for the part-time course with the exception that the dissertation work will be carried out during the same academic year. As well as this, full-time students take one extra module in Year One, semester one.
How long is the dissertation?
Students will be required to undertake substantial research leading to a final Dissertation of 20,000 25,000 words.
