Hide-This course is designed to equip the learner with the academic knowledge and practical skills essential for working in a healthcare team. Its purpose is two-fold:
(1) It is a stand-alone qualification for employment as a Care Assistant
(2) It can also be used as a route to Third-Level Education.
Experienced healthcare professionals instruct students in practical skills in our fully equipped ward. In addition, students must complete a period of work experience in a care setting.
Garda vetting must be successfully completed for all courses in the Department of Health Services, Childcare & Youth Work.

Recipients of the Student Grant (www.susi.ie) are exempt from the €200 Government Levy ONLY. Clear, original, up-to-date evidence must be provided to CCFE to avail of any exemption.
