It is designed to give the Candidate the practical skills and knowledge necessary for further study in nursing/healthcare through the Higher Education Links Scheme and in the UK.

* Work Experience (25 days) is a mandatory part of this programme.

Work placement must be in a Health Care setting eg Hospitals/Nursing Homes/Day Care/Additional Needs Centres.
Entry Requirements Leaving Certificate or equivalent, prior experience or a keen interest in the area.

The Garda vetting process must be completed in respect of all individuals working with children or vulnerable adults – work placements will require students be vaccinated against Hepatitis B virus.
