Hide-The two year full time course is designed to provide professional training to students interested in a career in theatre, film and television. Students who have reached the required standard on the two year course, or who have equivalent accreditation, may apply for the one year Advanced Performance Course where they can achieve a full Level 6 QQI and Trinity College London ATCL’S in both Speech and Drama and Musical Theatre.
The theatre performance course is celebrating 30 years of excellence in drama training this year. Our aim is to continue providing the highest standards of teaching in all the disciplines required for a career in the Performing Arts. Our modules are taught by experienced tutors who are themselves active practitioners. Access to industry professionals and employment is provided by engaging professional directors from within the course faculty as well as guest directors for college productions. We also have targeted Master class workshops, including one with a renowned casting agency.

Hide-Course fees range from €300 to €400 depending on the course. The fees cover costs of examination entry and certification fees as well as any course materials and personal equipment to students. The fees also cover a range of other services and activities provided for, or engaged in, by the students such as some trips, cultural and sporting events, accident insurance policy fee and student services fund fee. in addition to this, the Government levy of €200 will also apply for those applicants who do not hold a medical care.
Enrolment Deposit
Students who accept the offer of a place on a course must pay a non-refundable deposit of €50. The balance of the fee must be paid on commencement of each academic year.
External Examination Fees
Students who choose to enter for examinations other than those set by QQI and/or BTEC must pay the appropriate exam fees to the relevant examining authority.

| Application Date |
Applications are welcome from 1st December of the year preceding the course start year.
Interviews are then held at regular intervals from the following March onwards. First round of interviews will take place during March/April. Second round interviews will take place in mid-May. Late applications will be interviewed when the Leaving Certificate Examinations are finished or in early September.

Leaving Certificate or Leaving Certificate Applied standard. Applications from mature students are welcome.
A proven interest in Theatre would be an advantage.
Admittance to the course is by means of interview and audition. Details will be sent to applicants with notice of their audition times. |

A programme of continuous assessment and examination (performance and written) is followed during the course. |

Our graduates have developed professional careers as actors, appearing in productions at The Abbey Theatre, The New Theatre, The Project Arts Centre, as well as venues all over Ireland and abroad. TV and film appearances include The Good Wife, Fair City, Ripper Street, Penny Dreadful, The Sacred Scriptures, Third Rock, Game of Thrones, The Tudors and many high profile ad campaigns for companies such as The National Lottery and Cadbury’s.
Other graduates have carved careers as writers for theatre and film, stand – up comedians and directors. Many have started their own companies and stage schools.
