All applicants will be invited to an interview to ascertain their suitability for the course. Further applications are accepted over the summer months and similar interviews take place in early September for any remaining vacancies. All applicants will be notified by post as to the results of the interview.

All applicants will be interviewed. Applicants must be at least 17 years of age. Students will be asked to apply for Garda clearance at interview. |
| Careers or Further Progression |
Successful graduates can opt to go directly into the world of work in nurseries, playgroups, crèches, with private families and as assistants in schools and residential settings. Graduates may opt to continue to QQI level 6 within DIFE or progress to Degree courses within Institutes of Technology Nationwide. |
