This one year in Multimedia Production is designed to introduce students to the dynamic, creative field of Multimedia.
Students will develop proficient skills using core applications within the Adobe Creative Suite of software and will also develop key skills relating to time management, team-work and independent study skills. Introduction to Image Manipulation, Digital Illustration, Digital Animation, Interactive Media and Web Authoring / Design. |

All applications will be acknowledged by post or email. Applications will be accepted from January 2017 for the first round of interviews each, usually held in May. All applicants will be invited to an interview to ascertain their suitability for the course. Further applications are accepted over the summer months and similar interviews take place in early September for any remaining vacancies. All applicants will be notified by post as to the results of the interview.

| Entry Requirements |
Leaving Certificate with 5 passes or equivalent. Mature applicants are also very welcome to apply. All applicants should be creative, highly motivated with a keen interest in the subject area. Leaving certificate Art or Tech Drawing, together with a good standard of written English would be an advantage. All candidates should be computer literate. All applicants will be selected by interview. |
| Careers or Further Progression |
Students who successfully complete this course may pursue a career in the multimedia industry, either directly or through further study. Graduates can apply for degree courses in Institutes of Technology throughout the country and to a range of Universities offering Media related degree courses e.g. DCU, DKIT and NUI Maynooth. |
