Course Fee In general, there are two levels of fees payable. EU students from EU countries including Ireland pay a subsidised level of fees for both taught courses and research programmes. Tuition fees for students from outside the EU are not subsidised and are thus somewhat higher than for EU students.

Entry Requirements Normally, a BA Honours degree with a 2.1 in German or an equivalent qualification is required. For international students whose first language is not English, an English language exam certificate showing IELTS 6.5 (or equivalent) is required.

Course Content The MA in German provides students who already have a background in German with an opportunity to specialise in the areas of translation, literary analysis and applied linguistics. It provides the academic, analytical, and creative skills to foster interest in research in German studies.
Subjects Taught Course Structure
Modules include translation studies, methodologies of teaching and learning, contemporary European women’s writing, German literature and research skills.
