Financial Support FE Student Grants
The Department of Education and Science has introduced a maintenance grant scheme for Further Education students. Application forms are available online at www.susi.ie.
A member of staff is responsible for helping students with their grant enquiries.
Interview 1st Round In March/April, 2nd in Mid-May, Late Applicants in Late August and early September.
Application Date Applications are welcome from 1st December of the year preceding the course start year.

Interviews are then held at regular intervals from the following March onwards. First round of interviews will take place during March/April. Second round interviews will take place in mid-May. Late applications will be interviewed when the Leaving Certificate Examinations are finished or in early September.

Entry Requirements Applicants must be at least 17 years of age and have reached Leaving Certificate Standard. A keen interest in Vocational area. Entry to the course is by interview.
Assessment Method Course assessment is by project work, continual assessment and examinations. Emphasis is placed on the practical aspects of the course and the student’s ability to work as part of a team.
Careers or Further Progression The course should appeal to those who are interested in backstage work, stage management, lighting, sound or construction.
