Hide-Aims
This course is designed to give you a foundation in a broad range of theatre practices to help develop your skills and confidence in performance techniques. A children's play at Christmas written by writer-in-residence.
Niamh Gleeson (Dear Frankie) and a classical play in spring at the Sean O'Casey Theatre form a major part of the course to enable learning in a friendly and professional atmosphere. A range of dance techniques are offered and students will devise group and solo work. Over the course of the year students avail of workshops with leading theatre practitioners including a master class with course patron director and writer Mr. Peter Sheridan. By the end of the course, students will have a collection of work in preparation for interviews and auditions and we will offer guidance on further studies in theatre and drama. Having secured experience and skills on the course, students may use this as a foundation for entry into further studies including acting and drama degrees.
