All applicants will be invited to an interview to ascertain their suitability for the course. Further applications are accepted over the summer months and similar interviews take place in early September for any remaining vacancies. | Entry Requirements |
Applications are invited from those who have completed Leaving Certificate or equivalent. Mature students are also welcome to apply. Good writing skills are an essential requirement. Two written references must be presented at interview. Students must apply for Garda Clearance at Registration in September. |
| Careers or Further Progression |
Graduates will have a nationally recognised qualification enabling them to seek employment in the caring services, youth, family and community work. The vast majority of students completing this course progress to social and health related degree courses in Institutes of Technology and Universities. |
