Financial Support FE Student Grants
The Department of Education and Science has introduced a maintenance grant scheme for Further Education students. Application forms are available online at www.susi.ie.
A member of staff is responsible for helping students with their grant enquiries.
Interview 1st Round In March/April, 2nd in Mid-May, Late Applicants in Late August and early September.
Application Date Applications are welcome from 1st December of the year preceding the course start year.

Interviews are then held at regular intervals from the following March onwards. First round of interviews will take place during March/April. Second round interviews will take place in mid-May. Late applications will be interviewed when the Leaving Certificate Examinations are finished or in early September.

Guidance, counselling and study support are available. No specific entry or educational requirements needed. Entry to the course is determined by interview.
Careers or Further Progression Graduates form this course have the opportunity to apply for diploma (Level 6) course within the college or in other FE colleges. They may also apply to universities, institutes of technology and university access programmes to study at degree level. Graduates may also seek employment at entry level in the social care sector.

This course is designed for those who would like to work in the area of social care with individual clients, in residential care or working in the community.
