The Department of Education and Skills has a maintenance grant scheme for qualifying Further Education students. Application forms are available online at www.susi.ie.
Application Date Applications and Enrolments Process
Applicants apply online and are then sent an email with an interview date.

Applications can be made from 1st November of the year preceding the year of the course.

Interviews are held at regular intervals on specific dates from then until the following September, when the course starts.

Successful graduates may gain entry to any relevant QQI Level 6 or BTEC Higher National Diploma courses. Graduates may also use their Level 5 award to apply for relevant degree courses through the Higher Education Links scheme.
