The work experience requirement for this programme is a minimum of 20 days or 150 hours. This generally takes place on Fridays. However, due to cutbacks in the HSE and nursing homes it may be difficult to place all students on a Friday and some work experience may have to be completed over weekend periods. This work experience may be in any hospital or nursing home around the county or Limerick city. Students accepting a place on the Nursing Course must be prepared to undertake work experience when and where requested to do so by the College.
