A registration fee of €200 is payable to the Department of Education & Skills. This is waived if you hold a current medical card.
An enrolment fee of €100 applies and this fee is not covered by any grant or medical card.
A QQI examination fee of €50 applies for all non-medical card holders. |

Work Experience:
Work experience is arranged in conjunction with the Course Coordinator. Learners are placed in Work Experience one day each week for the duration of the course. This involves placements for the year in the local area, - in hospitals, nursing units, homes for the elderly, special units, and special schools for those with disabilities. This gives students a good understanding of hospital life and the qualities and characteristics required for a successful career in Nursing.

| Entry Requirements |
Learners must have successfully completed the Leaving Certificate/LCAP/LCVP Examination or QQI Level 4. This course is suitable for those people considering a career in Nursing. Special consideration will be given to mature students or others who may not have obtained a Leaving Certificate. Entry procedure is by application and possible interview. |

Career Opportunities & Progression:
